Midlantic Business Alliance selects National Penn Bank for banking relationships network

May 3, 2006 - Midlantic Business Alliance (MBA) announced the selection of National Penn Bank to their Banking Relationships Network. Limited to a maximum of six financial institutions, MBA evaluates financial institutions with regard to the seriousness of their efforts to develop loans for small businesses.

A subsidiary of $5.11 billion National Penn Bancshares, Inc., National Penn Bank serves southeastern and central Pennsylvania through 78 offices, including those of its FirstServices Bank, HomeTowne Heritage Bank, and The Peoples bank of Oxford divisions.

Banks selected for MBA’s Banking Relationships Network have demonstrated their ability and intention to work with small business borrowers to develop revenue streams as well as to educate the businesses.

“We want banks in our network that can demonstrate in deed their commitment to the small business community,” says MBA Board Chair Libby Beatty. “Therefore, we tend to be very selective.”
